A SURPRISE INHERITANCE...

Annie learns she's inherited a sprawling mansion on the outskirts of Elmsmere, Virginia from a grandfather she never knew existed, a man she'd been told had died a long time ago.  Her handsome neighbour, self-proclaimed close friend to her grandfather and caretaker of her home, goes out of his way to make Annie feel welcome, and offers his help at every turn.

As she encounters danger with ever-increasing frequency, Annie begins to doubt her ability to know friend from foe.  A tragic secret lies within the walls of her home, a secret kept hidden for far too long, and she is frantic to find out what it is, no matter the cost.

Jack, a seasoned cop, works to protect Annie, but also falls victim to the madman's dangerous scheming.  As they slowly fit the pieces together, they must stay one step ahead of the monster who will do anything to protect his secrets from Annie, even if it means destroying her.
