Descrizione dell’editore

This story will take you primarily with Nicholas Yuin on a journey beginning in the mid-1800s, from England to Cape Town in what is now South Africa. It will return you to Africa at Lake Nyanza (Bhantu), to become lake Victoria in 1852, in Tanganyika.

The journey will take you back to London and then by sea to the Murchison River in Western Australia’s Midwest coast and inland, where the beginnings of a great adventure is to occur, as will interaction with ancestors of my own family.

Having been fortunate to have spent many years in Africa, I understand it is a land that has a vast collection of countries and an equally diverse collection of unique and ancient peoples.

These countries are full of wonderful and unique wildlife, and while some of the animals are the most dangerous on Earth, none is more dangerous than man himself.

In contrast, Australia too had, and still does have, a diverse collection of traditional peoples who are rightly protective of their heritage and ownership of lands. As we now know, that ownership spans over 60,000 years. As the traditional owners of the lands, its unique bounty and natural produce, these people have no peer.

Australia does not now have any real animal predators – at least none that could actually prey on human beings. It does however, have many large or poisonous reptiles and insects. But again, we can say as human beings, we alone are far more dangerous than any beast, reptile or insect.

The story is a blend of fact and fiction. In this opening book, I have taken on board my family history as I know it and as documented in recorded history. With this, I have created a blend of fictional and actual historical people, and for the most, the fictional characters walk the path, either in your imagination or as it would have been at that time.
