Former soldier Lindsey Ryan is no stranger to war, but her newest battlefield is the doorstep of her own home. When Lena, a brutalized Syrian refugee, collapses into her life, Lindsey’s internal sirens scream. She’s been trying to bury her PTSD in the shadows of Cobh in Cork, but Lena is a living reminder that some wars never end.

The enemy has a name: Patrick Adebayo. He’s a kingpin who treats human lives like cargo. When Lindsey discovers a child is being smuggled into Adebayo’s stronghold, the time for doing nothing is over.
