Bevin Bahar has spent her entire life trying to be good. That sounds pretty boring until you learn she’s demonspawn, and her very nature cries out for evil. Most demonspawn plunge headfirst into darkness, eager to claim the power from embracing their birthright. Bevin’s twin sister certainly did.

But Bevin has fought her descent tooth and claw. Lately that’s been a little too literal for her, but at least she hasn’t been fighting the darkness alone. She hasn’t made friends easily. Good people don’t like demonspawn at all, and bad ones don’t like righteous demon spawn, so the creatures who love Bevin mean everything to her. When she’s forced to choose between saving their lives and staying good?

Bevin finally descends, marked with an evil but powerful lineage.

As the forces of both light and dark gather against Bevin and her misfit friends, she may be the only one who can save them, but the only way she sees to do it is with one very wicked plan. Bevin’s not sure of the price of her plan, but she knows Earth's safety hangs in the balance. With a demonspawn deciding the fate of the world, what chance does humanity have?
