A Lion for a Pet

A Lion for a Pet

Pete has always wanted a pet unlike anyone else's. While his friends have dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, and even a goat, Pete dreams of something far more unusual—a lion.

Then one Saturday, his impossible dream seems to come true.

After hearing a mysterious roar from the forest, Pete and his adventurous friend Tessa discover a young lion trapped beneath a fallen branch. The frightened animal is injured, and Pete quickly realizes that this is no ordinary pet. With the help of a wildlife officer, the children set out to find and rescue the lion before danger closes in.

But when a powerful storm floods an abandoned quarry and traps the lion, Pete must learn that courage does not mean rushing into danger. Sometimes, the bravest thing is knowing when to step back and let trained people take control.

As Pete watches the lion return to the wild, he discovers something more important than owning an unusual pet. He learns that loving an animal does not always mean keeping it.

A Lion for a Pet is an exciting and heartwarming adventure about friendship, courage, wildlife, responsibility, and the importance of giving wild animals the freedom to live where they belong.

Perfect for young readers who love animals, adventure, and stories with a meaningful lesson.
