Princess Bretta and Prince Dario's fathers might hate each other, but that hasn't stopped their love from blossoming over their years of acquaintance. But when Prince Dario's father gets wind of their romance, he invokes the tradition of the Princess Tests to choose his son's bride.

A Renewed Hope, a retelling of The Princess and the Pea, is a stand-alone short story, complete with such tropes as "forbidden romance," "no spice friends to lovers," and "royal romance." It is part of the Hope Ever After series, a collection of twenty hopeful and uplifting fairy-tale retellings. Each book is written by a different author and can be enjoyed in any order. The proceeds from this series are donated to the O.U.R. (Operation Underground Railroad) to rescue children from exploitation and trafficking.
