Lt. Duane Thorin was a Navy helicopter pilot, who rescued many Americans before he himself was captured in 1952 and held as a prisoner of war by North Korea until his release in August, 1953.


This book, first published in 1956, is a fictional account of men in Korean POW camps, based on Lt. Thorin's own experiences, as well as those of other prisoners of war in North Korea.
