After the vicious attack by the Desmarais, Rachel is forced to start over without her beloved Giovanni. She relocates to San Francisco with vampires Eli and Charles for a second chance at life.

To avenge Giovanni's death Rachel, Eli and Charles pull together an alliance of immortals, and plan to take down the Desmarais once and for all.
