All for Love; or, the World Well Lost is a 1677 drama written by English playwright John Dryden. A tragedy written in blank verse, the play is an imitation (acknowledged by Dryden) of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra that is confined to Alexandria, and focuses primarily on the last hours of the couple and their doomed relationship. The play was performed originally in 1677, and after a revival, was performed a further 123 times between 1700 and 1800.
