This historical fiction novel is written around the framework of letters, written to the author’s great-great-grandparents Robert and Sephrona Clark McCollom, from friends and relatives on the Western frontier. The time period of this novel takes place during the first 61 years of the nineteenth century. Survival was not easy, even before the Civil War.
