Beginning Spanish

This book brings together twenty five lesson plans with an abundance of brief, in-class activities about topics related to the Spanish language, its vocabulary and grammar, and the richness of the Spanish-speaking world’s culture. It aims to meet the standards of ACTFL (American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages). 

Each lesson plan provides a mixture of reading passages, interesting facts, and hands-on activities to promote a student’s learning of Spanish-language content. The lessons include videos and other resources from PBS LearningMedia. The Spanish videos used in the lessons provide students with a meaningful context for a set of new vocabulary entries, relevant grammar concepts, and cultural topics.
