Beowulf

Behold the great warrior of ancient literature - Beowulf. He is strong and honourable, he has many followers, his very name means "bear". But many dangers and tests are awaiting him before he becomes the king of the Geats - the stronger he gets the more horrible moster he meets.

Beowulf is considered the oldest surviving poem in Old English and is kept in the famous British Library. Beowulf's opponents are the typical characters of epic poems of those times;

 - the monster Grendel

 - Grendel's mother

 - the dragon.

Fighting with these creatures Beowulf shows the strengh worth of a real king and the Geats love him well. But  the path of a true here never runs smooth. 

Beowulf was written by an un unknown poet but even nowadays it is considered the masterpiece of world literature.
