Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) was an English Poet and philosopher, a bright representative of the so-called ‘Lake Poets’. During his college years he was absorbed by revolutionary ideas and eventually got expelled for that. Not so many years passed and he became a representative of romanticism, fascinated ancient and medieval times. The quintessence of his literary career was the membership in the ‘Lake Poets’ society, a club where poets combined worship of the nature with their own distinctictive philosophy.
'Biographia Literaria' is the most famous literary work by Samuel Taylor Coleridge which represents his autobiography initially published in 1817. It is structered in such a way that it contains more elements of meditation over that of biography.
