Book of Benny

Book of Benny is my second zine with Nieves. Benny is a dog, named for my Uncle Benny. He’s been our constant companion for five years since his earliest days as a puppy. He is also the subject of numerous drawings; some of which are included in this zine. All of which are loving portrayals of the trials and tribulations of this most extraordinary dog. I have been making ballpoint pen drawings of my animal friends for thirty years. In Benny’s case, with each drawing I feel closer to him, as together we ponder the wonders and perils of nature.
