The Western world, in the twenty-first century, generally led by the U.S., has come a long way towards improving human rights. Minorities, women, and now even alternative sexualities are finding new rights and privileges. But this is specific to the western culture, while in other parts of the world most of these rights do not exist. For many who live in the western world these things are taken for granted, and that is the problem, especially for Americans. Foolishly naive young adults travel the world thinking their citizenship is their armor, and many find it can be true. But even being an American, and sometimes because you are one, leads many into danger when they are away from their native soil.
This is a tale of a young woman who is enticed and then persuaded to leave the security of the U.S. and travel to a place with far different customs. She expects, since she is working for a royal family, that she will live a lavish life style while abroad. Although she will live in an opulent palace, she quickly finds the position she is expected to fill is not the same one she performed for her employer in the U.S.
Removed from the protection she had in her country, this American girl finds out what it is like to live in a very different society. With no rights, no way out, and no one looking for her, she finds that she must rely on her will to survive in this new world where she now finds herself. Follow her journey from a simple all American girl to become a part of a harem, trained to satisfy the many and diverse needs of the heir to the throne.
