Building Fluency Through Practice & Performance Grade 6

Increase students' fluency levels through repeated reading of traditional poems, rhymes, song lyrics, reader's theater, and monologues. Based on Dr. Timothy Rasinski's important fluency research, these books build reading skills for all students, including English language learners. Improve grade 6 fluency by performing and reciting these pieces individually, in pairs, and whole group with the provided reading strategies. Two CD's are included: an Audio CD with recordings of the songs to model fluent reading, and a Teacher Resource CD with the songs presented in PowerPoint for whole class participation.
