Joey's family goes on vacation at a cabin in the mountains every year.

This year he's twelve. He'll finally get to canoe all by himself, and the lake's mysterious little island calls to him.  But it's not shaping up to be a perfect vacation.  Joey still has to look after his younger brothers and sister.

And not all calls should be answered.

Sometimes you end up over your head, and the stakes are as high as the water is deep...
