Case Study (Five Fingers‪)‬

Joseph Herding heads home from his holiday company party with a bit too much spiked eggnog in his system. When a deer appears in the road, he loses control and ends up in a fatal car accident. Crush and mangled, certain he is dying, his last memory before unconsciousness is of a blinding white light. When he wakes up, he is lying on the cold asphalt, completely unharmed.
Joseph suspects something miraculous happened, but is unable to remember the experience. The only tip he has to go on are a few words from the driver of the car he hit: ‘five fingers, you have five fingers.’ He turns to Dr. Sherrod, a hypnotherapist, wondering if he had a life after death experience and hoping his subconscious memories can reveal the truth.
Sherrod has his own reasons for learning about life after death—saying goodbye to his dead brother. They dive into the session, and Joseph begins to tell a tale filled with wonder and horror—a story that opens Sherrod’s eyes to a world bigger than he ever imagined.
