Choices

We all have choices to make. Choices: The Beginning of the Sheridan Saga begins when Jackie Hardaway, a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, marries Brian Sheridan, a Texas A&M Aggie, and joins him on his family’s ranch in Concho County, Texas.


Jackie is ready for the ranch, but the ranch is not ready for her. She runs into resentment and conflict at every turn with Brian’s family. The tension becomes unbearable, and Brian must try to make his new bride happy, while keeping peace in his family.


Brian’s older brother, Harold, is the heir apparent. As ranch manager, Brian finds himself bearing the weight of leadership without the promise of ownership. The ranch is going broke, but Brian’s father, Adam, won’t accept any of Brian’s suggestions for making the old-fashioned ranch profitable. Brian and Harold fight constantly, and Adam invariably sides with Harold. 


When Adam dies and Harold inherits the ranch, Brian and Jackie find themselves facing a hellish choice. They can remain on the ranch and submit to Harold’s authority, or they can leave and make a new life away from the only home Brian has ever known. The time has come to make some life-altering Choices.
