Clinical Breast Examination: Lump, Pain and Benign Changes

All palpated lumps and suspicious visual changes must be further examined. In the investigation of palpable lesions, a triple diagnostic approach is used: clinical examination, imaging studies and needle biopsy (cytological/histological). Benign breast changes are common; fibrocystic changes are found in every fourth woman in fertile age.
