During her mind games with Isaac, he hints that there's another killer at large and that he might know something about Jenna's mother, a sociopath who has threatened Jenna and her family before. In the battle to outsmart Isaac, Jenna proves clever enough without resorting to her synesthesia, which only reinforces conclusions she draws from more conventional clues. Readers will look forward to seeing more of this appealing heroine.
