Megan Carter is no stranger to pain. After a year of seeing her name splashed across the local and national news, Megan is perfectly content to spend the rest of her days living in isolation, away from her new neighbors in small town Kingston. All she wants is a quiet place to heal from the trauma that drove her from Chicago and ended her long-term engagement. 

Town doctor Ben McCrae has his hands full, working with the citizens of Kingston to build a center for local teens. Resistance from the townspeople has him at a loss, until Megan unexpectedly steps in to help. Their chemistry is undeniable. But will Megan allow her past to dictate her future? Or will she open herself up to new possibilities?
