Common Ground.
Reconsidering Contemporary Urban Developments
発行者による作品情報
Urban Developments are suffering an identity crisis. An off-the-shelf ‘canned urbanism’ has become the current model for developments of our urban spaces.
How can we design our urban developments better? In Common Ground contemporary urban development is reconsidered: looking at the cross-roads of architecture, urbanism, and landscape to develop a truly public, and community engaging spaces that relate to history of a site.
Tunney’s Pasture (Ottawa, Canada) is used as a case study to illustrate this new method of developing urban space through establishing a ‘common ground’.
