Connective Tissue

The Veterinary Microscopic Anatomy Review series is a 21-volume set of interactive iBooks to allow a Q&A type review of microscopic anatomy structure and function. The histological sections are taken from multiple domestic species, including the canine, feline, bovine and equine.

In this unit of the series, the proper connective tissues are examined, reviewing the cell types present, fiber type(s) present and the arrangement of the fibers.  The importance of these to the functions of the tissues and where the tissues are found will also be reviewed. In addition, adipose tissue will also be examined in this unit.
