Death Lends a Hand

In book four of this seven book series, LAPD Detective Lt Jeff Chandler is asked to speak at the LAPD police academy. While there Jeff enjoys chatting with the new recruits, and also gets to spend time with Lt Billy Sharpe, a good buddy and superstar Alexander Richfield's husband.

 A day after his lecture to the recruits, Jeff and his sergeant are called to the scene of a dead jogger located on a trail right behind the academy.

 As Jeff investigates the suspicious death, struggles to identify the victim, and then rules out any known killers in the area, his investigation sadly leads him to the police academy itself.

 Could the coldblooded killer be associated with the police training facility?
