Death Wish

The world of the future is very different from the world we live in now. With the astonishing progress of medical and technological science, people can now live as long as they wish. Death due to disease, accident, murder, or natural causes is a long-forgotten thing of the past. But despite their basic immortality, some people in this world still want to die. And when that time comes, all they have to do is submit a Death Wish to the government’s Fairy Godparent Organization.

Eliza Hayworth, a young woman who works for this mysterious branch of the government, has always felt a deep sense of purpose in her work as a Godmother. But when people begin mysteriously dying without submitting Death Wishes, her world is turned completely upside down. With the help of her partner Harrison and her new trainee Robin, Eliza works to uncover the causes of these unplanned deaths that threaten to destroy everything in their world. But as they delve deeper into the investigation, Eliza begins to question everything she has ever known. And, in the process, she realizes that eternal life may not be a good thing after all.
