Don't Let Me Break

I'm pretty sure my friend is trying to set me up with her boyfriend's older brother.
Which would be fine.
If I hadn't just gotten out of a relationship.
And, if said older brother hadn't ridden with me in an ambulance after I had a seizure a few weeks ago.
Oh, and let's not forget about the fact that I work with his oldest daughter, either.
Because that's not weird at all.
My friend says I'm being prickly.
That he's a catch and deserves a real chance.
And honestly? She's right on both counts.
He's annoyingly gorgeous, and has the personality of a golden retriever, which happens to be my favorite dog, not that it matters.
Because I refuse to cross that bridge and date him.
But friends?
Sure. I can do friends.
If I don't strangle him first.
More than that, though?
Well, it's not gonna happen.
Or at least that's what I thought, until we find ourselves sharing his bed in a raging snow storm...
Yeah. I'm in trouble.
