Dragons, Kings & Lace

This book is dedicated to those of us who made peace with The Rat.  In memory of those that were consumed by The Rat, the more than fifty-eight thousands that are listed on the Vietnam War Memorial and the thousands more that were not able carry on in the face of too much pain. This is a collection of poems and essays inspired by my experiences while deployed to Southeast Asia and the years and journeys since.  From 1971 through 1973 I was a member of Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 130 detachment 3 on board USS Oriskany (CV-34). I was sent on temporary assigned duty to Danang RSVN and Cubi point, Philippines. I saw terrible things, lost friends and survived.  I’ve made peace with The Rat, mostly.  Most of all, these are from the heart
