Drawing Like Paolo 2

When I began drawing, shading was not an easy task for me at first, and it took me years to figure it out on my own. I learnt quickly enough that I had to turn to Art History, to history's Chiaroscuro artists and to science in order to understand how to render realistic shade, shadows and cast shadows. 

This book, in a nutshell, is a gathering of what I learnt and what I think to be important when wanting to add light and shadows to pencil drawings.
