Emma Woodhouse may just be Jane Austen’s most controversial character. Some see her as a spoiled narcissist who’s deluded about reality, while others view her as a well-intentioned and bitingly sarcastic young woman who matures before our eyes.
This well-loved novel-which is often adapted for the screen-is set in the early 19th century, among England’s landed gentry. After seeing her governess happily married, Emma decides she is a natural matchmaker and devises a plan to find her new friend Harriet a mate. What follows has all the makings of a contemporary soap opera. As usual, Austen portrays her contemporaries with a brilliant and subtle snark. Emma is a wonderfully entertaining read.

Emma
Emma is a beautiful novel that I was very much enjoyed. I was happy, wandering, sad together with our main character Emma. Emma is a so brave, wise, friendly, and kind hearted high ranked girl, she has a very good tempered, gentleman, full of love father, and nice sister and brothers, and nice governance, friends around her. I was very much touched with Emma’s responsibility that she felt she need to show her kindness to her inferior friends, help her inferior friends, and she was always first try to solve the issue between she and her friends by first gave her kindness, her help to her friends.
Emma had decided she will never be married, but when she was in the business to make matches for her friends, she put herself into marriage which she naturally accepted. We can understood from this story, that
Love and marriage are very natural between woman and man at young ages, no one can refuse its coming at right timing, right partner. When Emma was very sad at Mr. Frank’s engagement, Mr. Knightley grasped this very chance right away and touched Emma that her heart was belong to him.
Marriage is always a match thing, no matter old time, current time; in China, out China. Marriage is match of rank, match of family, match of character etc. No matter how Emma want to help her friend Harriet to match a high rank gentleman in all the story, Harriet was still married to the person she belonged to in her own rank.
Be happy with all the arrange of life. Who can endeavor to grasp better match marriage, but keep happy if you are not succeeded. You always have your own match waiting for you, like Harriet, Emma’s friend.
