Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 – 1882) was a famous American essayist, lecturer, and poet who was considered as a leader of Transcendentalist movement in the middle of 19-th century. Gained the worldwide appreciation due to be the “champion” of individualism and a prescient critic of modern society. His created dozens of published works, essays and lectures devoted to these issues.

Ralph Emerson was a prolific author of philosophic direction and most of his important essays are performed in a form of lectures first. His first collection of essays is named “Essays: First Series” published respectively in 1841 which represents the unique core of his thoughts referred to the issues of history, self-reliance, compensation, spiritual laws. Regardless of seriousness of his philosophical ideas and discourses also had a specific thoughts of such human phenomenons as love, nature and soul.
