Poor Riley Poe. She must put aside these distractions to join the Dupr family's good-vampire sally and cleanse Charleston, S.C., of its newly minted undead monsters. Jasper's outrageous tale of sex and sadism verges on the unintentionally hilarious, requiring readers to suspend vast quantities of disbelief.
