Exodus: Extinction Event

Alternate Universe--the world of the cat-like hadens of Ducran is doomed in this alternate universe as in The Lion's Woman, but this time its an asteroid that brings devastation.

Enroute to a colony destination, they are witness to an extinction level even.  A small party, including the very unwilling Monica, are sent to learn what can be learned ... and there she stays, stranded.

Dar and Kaelen are among the unenviable few who survived the asteroid strike, natives who take Monica captive to negotiate a place for themselve among the Earth people, but will they be her salvation?  Or will they see of her less value even than her fellow colonists did?  Or at least the colony ship's captain.
