On Alexis Farmer's 16th birthday, reality gets turned inside out and upside down.  Lucas, her high school crush, fights for her affection while she dodges the head cheerleader's jealous wraith, mentally overhears classmate's thoughts, and accedentally unleashes a psychic storm, nearly destroying the school.  All before the final bell rings...

When her closest friend Jade is taken by strange creatures, Alexis and her friends cross over into the faerie realm of Azaria intent only on saving Jade and getting back home.  Instead, they end up on a quest to defeat the dark lord Morlin where startling truths are revealed.  Those closest to Alexis are not who, or what, they appear to be and she, the Chosen One, is destined to become either the realm's savior or destroyer.
