Far from Forgotten

When I finally hit the unforgiving ground I had no power to move, get up, or call for help. I felt as dead as I could be while still alive. I just knew I had inhaled too much smoke. I may be unstoppable to humans but not to other forces ... Having no strength to even turn my head I figured let them kill me, if they wanted. That's my punishment for saving lives today. The footsteps stopped; I could feel them staring at me. I wondered if they would end my life quickly or if they would let me die in misery. Would they slit my throat or stab me through the heart? 

Now that Aly's prisoner status is lifted, she is quickly being prepared to take over the flying army. Step by step, everything is falling into place, except for her heart. Has she truly stopped caring for Matt? Or will Greg win her over once and for all? As the fight between right and wrong continues, Aly will have to find her spot with the light or the darkness. What's really holding her back, and can she overcome it in time? 


Lauren Elizabeth first published as a senior in high school, and has continued her writing into college with this novel. When Lauren was in fifth grade she told her parents that it was her dream to share a story with the world.
