Five Duos from Op. 53 for Two Trombones

• The Ten Duos for Cellos of Op. 53 are fertile ground for this new arrangement.  


• Ralph Sauer has chosen five of the pieces (12 minutes of music) that are suitable for two Trombones.

 

• Both parts have an equally wide range (high D to low C) with liberal use of the valve register. However, alternative octaves are provided  for those without an F-attachment.


• For advanced performers, the Duos present a technical challenge for both players, are musically rewarding and worthy of recital material.
