Fly Away

A Collection of Poetry

I fly away in my dreams and thoughts
Flying backward to my mind's snapshots
It's there I linger with my beloved recollections
And walk hand and hand with these lovely reflections
Until reality sharply taps me on the shoulder
Pushing me back to where things are so much colder
But one day I'll refuse to shred my hard-earned wings
And nothing can stop me from flying to where my heart sings
