Under his grandma's bed is where Nicholas Sebastian leads his friend, Zeff, to find four adventures in a secret hiding place. In the first book they swim with a talking fish and face danger in an underwater cave. The second adventure is with a purple witch who wants to eat the boy's kangaroo friend. The third story is a mystery about why their friend, Tawny the lion, is so tired. The fourth book is a mystery that involves the boy's friend, Stretch the giraffe, and why he keeps falling over.
