Gone on Arrival

Roisin Cadmel was an excellent lawyer, hoping to make partner before she hit forty. She had the looks, the brains, and the drive to hit that goal before the next two years were up.

The case that would propel her into that partner's chair looked like a slam dunk until her star witness was killed days before she could testify. The twist? Cassie Dunn had been murdered in Roisin's own bedroom.

No one is sure if Cassie was the target, or Roisin, since it was her bed they shot the dark-haired woman in, so now she's not just a lawyer, she's a protectee.

Rosie's brother, Detective Reid Cadmel and his fiancée Sammy Jo Spade have some experience with personal protection, so they invite Rosie to stay in their guest room for a while. 

Then Deputy US Marshall Malena McKenzie gets involved.

Malena has her own doubts about Roisin Cadmel and the whole Cadmel family. She'd heard about Detective Reid's involvement in the Petrosian case and she had questions.

Now she has questions that only Roisin can answer.
