Good Night, Wyley Ely contrasts the consonant and vowel y's throughout this bedtime routine story. Mr. Y is the consonant who is so tired he yawns a /y/ sound throughout the story. Help the children make a “y” shape with their hands and cover their mouths as they yawn the /y/ sound. Wylie Ely giggles long /e/ when his letter y is at the end of a word. Look at his cheeks.
