Corporate espionage is no day job for PI Mike Shayne as he roots out secrets in the professional and personal lives of Miami's movers and shakers.

 


To the owner of a family-operated chemical company, Mike Shayne has the perfect skills to find the leak in his close-knit workplace. The company has a revolutionary no-peel, no-blister paint in development, but their research has fallen into the hands of a business rival who plans to announce their new paint product in four days.


 


In the middle of the fray is a knockout blonde headhunter who helped the confidential information change hands. Looking for which executive had the most to gain from her scheme has Shayne going from a corporate duck-hunting weekend to the seedy set-ups of blackmailers and everything in between. And he's about to discover that secrets aren't the only things that leak from the boardroom, throat-cutting and backstabbing do too.
