Happy Valentine’s Day

I used to sit in my room and think to myself about everything untamable in my life. Refusing to let anybody who cared about me to help me maintain balance and peace of mind, I turned to a journal on my nightstand. For over two years I wrote down every emotion that was too chaotic or complicated to express, and planned on showing no one. After pages and pages of ink-filled lines, I realized that I wanted my words to be absorbed, not hidden away on a bedroom shelf, as if I were still as ashamed of them as I once was. Hurt, feel, breath, learn, grow. It’s all part of the plan.
