Heavenly Cursed

Mei Yanli is in big trouble. As if being a fox woman in Chairman Mao’s New China isn’t already bad enough, she tries to save a counterrevolutionary friend, and therefore seals her own fate.  Things can't get any worse—or so it seems when Christian Martin, an American imperialist, comes to her life apparently for no other reason than to compromise her reputation.

And yet, after this success-driven and self-indulgent man digs her out of a hole, Mei agrees to team up with him. And soon discovers a deep-buried secret about his true nature, and the way to free him from the spell.

This revelation creates a very special bond between them, and while Christian relishes to the unbounded freedom he discovers, Mei sees the opportunity to fulfill her political ambitions. But little does she know there’s a price to pay for greatness once she becomes entangled in a web of intrigue that promises a victory…and threatens to ruin her life altogether.
