Highlander's Dawn

Emilie has one impossible chance to save those she loves.

But she had to go back in time to do it.

Emilie Gordon's beloved Scotland and the world at large are in turmoil over a sudden illness. When an elderly Romani woman tasks her with traveling through the fabric of time to save and propagate the one thing that can combat this illness: a tiny mushroom that once grew in one small area of eastern Scotland in 900 CE, before a mad king battling Viking invaders applied a scorched earth policy and eradicated it.

Given her knowledge of history, Emilie assumes the identity of her distant relative Ailith and believes she can pull this off.

Only the political chaos of the medieval Highlands, suspicion by those in the Gordon clan, and a very complicated romantic relationship with Ailith's betrothed William MacDougal are not what she expects at all.

Emilie, now Ailith, manages to blend in with her Gordon clan and finds the vital pink mushrooms, but her involvement with William is not as smooth. Tall, blonde, and with a build that rivals any model athlete in her time, Ailith is surprisingly attracted to the man – and she has no problem showing him that attraction.

But William wants more than her body, he craves her heart. And he seems willing to do anything to win it.

With the clans in conflict and her wedding date bearing down on her, William becomes the rock that she can hold onto as she tries to repopulate the plant that will save millions in the future.

Will she find the love that both she and William long for? Or will the mad king destroy the future for them all?
