How Goldfish Find Their Way

A light-hearted allegorical story illustrating that rather than avoiding those who are different from us, we can lose out by not embracing the diversity in our community. In simple terms and using loveable animal characters, it helps children learn to see beyond themselves when deciding whom to play and work with in their daily lives. Each animal in the story, much like children, has a special ability that makes them strong, but also has a weakness. Children will learn to understand the power and benefit of friendships with those who are not like them, because the strength of one becomes the strength of all.

About the Author

Steven Uwajeh has lived on three continents and travelled the world. He is an avid observer of the interplay between nature, people, and cultures, and how these interactions differ globally. His goal as an author is to raise awareness in people both young and old, and organizations as well, to see and appreciate the varied beauty present in the world. Spreading a message of inclusiveness and understanding is the purpose of his debut picture book. He is an alumnus of International House (New York), Columbia University (New York), IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and Covenant University (Nigeria).
