If Only I Were A Bald Eagle is a children's story about a young boy with a brittle bone disease. Out of school due to yet another injury, Mack is allowed to have his schoolmate over. When they begin discussing what project to work on for extra credit, Mack allows himself to imagine life as a Bald Eagle.

As Mack compares his own life with that of a Bald Eagle, he begins to realize living as such an animal may not be nearly as enjoyable as being a boy. And when he learns about An Angel's Gift! he is even more excited to be a kid.

If Only I Were A Bald Eagle is a fun story for any age and is very informative about Bald Eagles. I hope this story will be as inspirational to children as it is fun to read and look at the pictures of all the Bald Eagles.
