James Tidwell was looking at a house that everyone feared because of the former owners. It sat empty for ten years. Abigale Perry, the town refused to do business with, was forced to find her clients from out-of-town James had several showings of the house before he made an offer.

James hired Abby as his private assistant to deal with the bank, they happily sold it to him, but none of the financial institutions or businesses wanted to do business with because he was guilty by association to the home. He and Abby became friends during the sales process.

The banks accepted his money, only because of the amount of cash he would deposit, plus his business account, and investments.

Slowly, they began spending time together, going to other cities for entertainment and she kept her car in a bay of his three-car garage, just to keep the townspeople from spreading gossip, at least until they were ready.
