ITo say that Travis has PTSD is an understatement. Some still see him as the 11 year old that came to the village torn up and battered. Some think he's anger waiting for a place to happen. On top of it, his face is scarred from a beer bottle shoved at him in the middle of a bar fight. It frightens people. What he loves is cooking. His kitchen, his domain. People come from miles around for his food. Not him. And he knows it. He doesn't care because waking up every day and heading down to the steam and heat of his restaurant is nothing short of pure joy. When his sister finally cracks and speaks, openly, about their childhood trauma, she doesn't once consider that she is also exposing Travis.
