But the past catches up to me when Reyna Singleton, the daughter of the fearsome pack leader, decides to pay a surprise visit. REYNA: I am Reyna Singelton, the firstborn of the Merula and his witch lifemate - half descended from Corvus the beast god, half a daughter of Venefica the witch goddess. I'm also the first female of the tribe gifted with the power of transformation. It's a secret I have told no one, not even the two men closest to me. But my beast is getting stronger and harder to suppress. Jarren and Tristan suspect something is not quite right. To make matters worse, I think someone from my mother's old coven is trying to kill me.

This story is set in the world of the Children of Corvus, who are a tribe of shapeshifters descended from Corvus, the god of all beasts. They live hidden beneath the Great Shield, in the wild forest of northern Maine, USA. Some of the tribe have been gifted with the power to change into the creature known as Bestiae. Others have been given the magical powers of a Guardian, and serve as priests who protect the true sons of Corvus. The New Order of Corvus begins eighteen years after The Children of Corvus trilogy.
