Born in London, England, little Julia grew up in an old Victorian house surrounded by her family. As a child she loved writing stories, reading, and performing to audiences big and small. She also loved making up her very own songs. 

After college, Julia tried out lots of different jobs from teaching in schools, working on the radio, and even creating songs for television shows, but nothing quite stuck. When someone suggested she transform one of her songs into a children’s book, Julia knew she had found her place as an author.
